Fifteen Chinese tourists were injured in a bus accident in Thailand Tuesday afternoon, 4 of whom were seriously hurt, a Chinese diplomat told Xinhua on Tuesday.
The bus carrying 17 tourists and a guide from China's southern Shenzhen city was on route from Pattaya, a popular tourist site on the eastern coast of Gulf of Thailand, to the capital city of Bangkok, according to Gao Zhenting, Counselor and Consul-General of the Chinese Embassy in Thailand.
It overturned on a section of road in Chon Buri Province around 40 kilometers from Pattaya, said Gao.
The injured have been rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The tour group arrived in Thailand last Friday and was scheduled to leave on Thursday.
