Two people were killed and more than 600 were injured in Egypt as new protests triggered by a recent football riot hit several places of the country, Xinhua reported.
Two protesters were killed in clashes in Suez when police used live rounds to keep back crowds trying to break into a police station, Reuters reported.
628 people were injured in clashes between police and protestors near the Interior Ministry building in Cairo on Thursday night.
Hundreds of protesters attacked the security forces' headquarters in the city with rocks and Molotov cocktails, CNN reported.
Security forces fired tear gas at protestors to prevent them from reaching the Interior Ministry building near Tahrir Square.
The protestors chanted slogans against police and blamed them for allowing fans to enter the stadium in Port Said with sticks and knives.
The riots after the match between el-Masry and el-Ahly in Port Said on Wednesday night left 74 dead and hundreds injured.
The Interior Ministry said 47 people have been arrested.
A three-day national mourning was announced over the victims of the riot from Thursday to Saturday.
Hussein Tantawi, head of the military council, has ordered the formation of a fact-finding committee to probe the clashes in the Port Said Stadium. He said police should be responsible for the security of games.
Port Said Governor Mohamed Abdel Hashem, the provincial security chief Essam Samak, and the board of the Egyptian Football Association got fired over the football riot.
At an emergency meeting of the People's Assembly over the deadly football riot, Egyptian Prime Minister Kamal el-Ganzouri extended deep condolences to the Egyptian people and said he shouldered the political responsibility for the violence.
On Friday, a big rally is called for in Cairo. The country has been plunged into new round of political crisis following the violent football scenario.
