300 people have been killed in a fire and a subsequent series of blasts at an arms depot in the east of the Republic of Congo's capital, Brazzaville.[Xinhua]

The death toll in a munition explosion in the capital of Republic of Congo on Sunday rose to 300 as of Tuesday afternoon, a presidency official said on Tuesday.

More than 1,500 were injured in the explosions, according to hospitals figures in the capital city.
