Chinese President Hu Jintao expressed his deep condolences to Pakistani counterpart Asif Ali Zardari on Saturday over a plane crash that killed 127 a few kilometers from the capital Islamabad.

In his message, Hu mourned the tragic loss of life and expressed sincere sympathy to the families of the victims on behalf of the Chinese government and Chinese people, as well as on a personal basis.

Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao and Foreign Minister Yang Jiechi also sent messages of condolences to their counterparts in Pakistan on Saturday.

All 127 people on board were killed when a Boeing 737 from Karachi crashed and burst into flames as it attempted to land at Islamabad airport in bad weather Friday evening.
