Body of kidnapped ICRC employee found in SW Pakistan

Police in Pakistan's southwestern city of Quetta Sunday found the body of a missing British employee of the International Committee of the Red Cross ( ICRC) who was kidnapped in January.

Police told media that they received information about a body near the Quetta Airport area and police team rushed to the site and shifted the body to hospital morgue where it was identified as Dr. Khalil.

Dr Khalil Ahmed Dale, a British national of Yemeni origin, was kidnapped by a group of unknown gunmen in Quetta on Jan 5.

Local media reported that the unidentified gunmen had demanded ransom for the release of the ICRC employee but the Committee had refused to pay.

It was not clear as to who had been involved in the kidnapping.

Dr. Khali was a converted British Muslim and had been working in Quetta with the ICRC for a year before he got kidnapped.
