One of the world leading women conferences the 2012 Women's Forum for the Economy and Society is set to convene on Oct. 10-20 in Deauville, France, the forum organizer announced Tuesday.

"We are looking for growth in all its forms," said Veronique Morali, president of the forum at a press conference in Paris, while recalled that the international financial crash of the late 2000s has not only caused a global economic recession, but also heightened popular doubts about the growth paradigms on which nowadays' economies are built and it now appears very difficult to generate economic growth.

To meet the challenges and build a future with women's vision, some of the most innovative and talented women thinkers and doers in business, the media, civil society and academe will gather in Deauville, a seaside resort in northren France, to share their views at the eighth edition of the women's forum with their male colleagues and to get a perspective as broad as possible.

Opening with economic models and ending with leadership for new kinds of growth, the forum will focus on a variety of issues relating to growth and social development. About 30 roundtable discussions and seminars are open to the participants.

In addition, dedicated sessions are specially designed on topics about Africa and China.

Founded in 2005, the Women's Forum for the Economy and Society is the first forum of its kind on both a European and international level, and in 7 years already has a legacy as a place for meetings and interactions for women from all countries and backgrounds.

Unique to the Women's Forum, women's voices and perspectives are featured along with their male counterparts on scenario-driven major issues, and what committed actors can do to tip the balance for a better world.

Last edition of forum attracted 1400 representatives from around the world, with 90 percent of women participants.
