Egypt's Health Ministry announced Wednesday the number of people injured in clashes between protesters and security personnel around the Syrian embassy in Cairo Tuesday climbed to 85.

"About 71 wounded people have been relieved as they were slightly injured" Egypt's official news agency MENA quoted the Deputy Head of Egypt's Ambulance as saying.

Egyptian and Syrian protesters gathered Tuesday in front of Syrian embassy in Cairo, carrying slogans against the Syrian president Bashar al-Assad and calling for expelling the Syrian ambassador to Cairo.
