Two people were killed when a plane crashed Thursday near the border of Kaufman and Ellis County in northern Texas, CBS 11 News reported.
Federal investigators were on the way but officials at the scene had not determined what type of aircraft crashed, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) spokesman Lynn Lunsford said.
Video showed the limited burned out remains of the aircraft. " It appears...that the aircraft is destroyed and that there is a fire after the crash," Lunsford said.
Investigators were yet to find out who owned the plane and from which airport it took off.
