Designed by St. Petersburg resident Gleb Tarasov, the memorial is a human-sized replica of an iPhone with a photo and video slide show of Job's life displayed on its screen.
The back of the monument features a QR code, which when scanned directs people to a website commemorating the Apple co-founder.
The memorial is in the form of an iPhone 4, the last Apple product for which Jobs was directly involved in the development, Tarasov said.
It is located inside the courtyard of the St. Petersburg National Research University of Information Technologies, Mechanics and Optics.
Jobs, credited with helping build Apple into a computer giant, died in October 2011 due to complications from a relapse of his previously treated islet-cell neuroendocrine pancreatic cancer.
