Prince Willem-Alexander will become King of the Netherlands on April 30.

His full name is Willem-Alexander Claus George Ferdinand, Prince of the Netherlands, Prince of Orange-Nassau, Jonkheer of Amsberg.

Prince Willem-Alexander, born on April 27, 1967 in Utrecht, has two younger brothers Prince Friso (1968) and Prince Constantijn (1969). He is the heir apparent to the throne of the Kingdom of the Netherlands since 1980.

He performed military service after high school from 1985 to 1987 and studied history at Leiden University from 1987 to 1993.

He has served as the chairperson of the United Nations Secretary General's Advisory Board on Water and Sanitation since 2006 and has been a member of the International Olympic Committee (IOC) since 1998.

He married Argentine Maxima Zorreguieta in 2002.
