Russia will deliver a total of 12 Sukhoi Superjet 100s to Indonesia this year in a deal worth 380 million U.S. dollar, media reported here on Friday.
Russian Ambassador to Indonesia Mikhail Galuzin told a press conference on Thursday that the business deal had been signed between Indonesia's airliner Sky Aviation and Russia's Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company.
The ambassador also mentioned the tragic Sukhoi SJ-100 demonstration crash that killed all 45 people on board last year in West Java of Indonesia.
"The crash brought our countries closer together," the ambassador was quoted by the Jakarta Post as saying.
Trade volume between Indonesia and Russia climbed to 2.54 billion U.S. dollar in 2012, from 774.88 million U.S. dollar in the previous year.
