Former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher died at the age of 87 after suffering a stroke, her spokesman announced on Monday, and her death has sparked a deluge of international media coverage.

However, Taiwan CtiTV made a serious mistake when reporting on the former PM’s death. CtiTV reported the death of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher using the images of Queen of England at 8:00 p.m. on April 8, 2013. CtiTV later apologized after viewers criticized the station for failing to distinguish between the two women on its website.

Many people think the error is inconceivable and shameless. A news reporter responded by saying: “It’s a typical mistake.”

Baroness Thatcher was a Conservative Prime Minister from 1979 to 1990. She was the first and only woman to hold the post, renowned for the nickname of "Iron Lady."
