At least six people were killed and 27 others injured in attacks on Sunday in war-torn Iraq, police said.
Two civilians were killed and 12 others wounded when a bomb exploded in a popular cafe in the Jameah district in western Baghdad, an Iraqi police source told Xinhua.
Also two civilians were killed and 10 others injured as a result of a mortar attack in Sweab area southwestern of Baghdad, he said.
A civilian was killed and four others wounded when a roadside bomb exploded in Abu Ghraib area, about 25 km west of Baghdad, he added.
A member of the Iraqi National Accord, led by former Prime Minister Iyad Allawi, was killed and a guard was wounded when two bombs exploded at the entrance to an office of the party in Kirkuk, some 250 km north of Baghdad, the police source said.
Violence is still common in war-torn Iraq despite the dramatic decrease since its peak in 2006 and 2007 when the country was engulfed in sectarian killings.
The UN Assistance Mission for Iraq said Thursday that the death toll among Iraqis from violence in April hit its highest level since 2008, with 712 people killed in violence across the country.
