Israeli troops overnight Wednesday arrested 13 Palestinians across the West Bank suspected of involvement in security-related offenses.
Four men were arrested in the village of Burkin, near the West Bank city of Jenin, a military spokeswoman said. The others were arrested in villages in the Ramallah area and near Nablus and Hebron.
"They are suspected of involvement in illegal activity and have been handed over to security forces for questioning," the spokeswoman said, but could not provide further details.
In a separate incident, two Israeli Arabs were also detained for questioning at a roadblock near Jenin, after one of them was found carrying a knife, Ha'aretz reported.
This was the second arrest operation carried out by Israel in the West Bank over the past 48 hours. Sixteen Palestinians were detained overnight Tuesday. Endi
