China is firmly committed to pursuing dialogues and negotiations in resolving the Iranian nuclear issue, China's envoy to International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) said on Wednesday.

Cheng Jingye, China's ambassador to the IAEA, told the UN nuclear agency's board of governor meeting in Vienna that China has been playing a constructive role in resuming the 6-party talk with Iran and maintaining diplomatic process in resolving the Iranian nuclear issue.

"Iranian nuclear issue is complicated and sensitive, time and wisdom are needed to resolve this issue," he added.

China, France, Germany, Russia, Britain and the U.S. issued a joint statement concerning the Iranian nuclear issue on Wednesday after a new round of board of governor meeting, urging Tehran to fully comply with its obligations.
