About 386 people, including 80 children, were sickened by food poisoning on Tuesday in Ukraine's southern Crimea region, local media reported.
"Almost all the hospitalized have recently been to the city beach Omega, (which is) known for its shallow water and a huge number of people," head of Sevastopol City State Administration, Vladimir Yatsuba, told reporters.
However, the city sanitary service reported the Omega beach duly complied with norms, the official said.
The infectious diseases departments at city hospitals were full of patients, local media reported.
