Turkey strongly condemned the twin bomb attacks which rocked Lebanon's northern city of Tripoli on Friday, killing at least 29 people and wounding over 500 others.

"We strongly condemn the explosion which took place today in Tripoli," said the Turkish Foreign Ministry in a statement published on Friday.

The Turkish Foreign Ministry offered condolences to the Lebanese nation and victims' families, and wished "a speedy recovery" to the wounded ones in this atrocious attack.

The attacks, perpetrated near the holy places of worship in Tripoli after Friday prayers, increase the concerns that "an act is being staged to upset the stability and internal peace in Lebanon," said the statement.

Turkey is determined to maintain its solidarity with Lebanese state and people, and "stands ready to provide every kind of support to the people of Lebanon," said the statement.
