The Libyan interim government announced Saturday evening deployment of army soldiers in the country's capital city of Tripoli.

Libyan Defense Minister Abdullah Al-Thinni said at a press briefing that 3,000 national army soldiers are to be deployed at the main entrances and sensitive areas in Tripoli.

The announcement came after the militia had to start to evacuate Tripoli in response to the Libyan parliament's decision to evict militia from the capital.

Protesters carried on striking Friday to demand the armed group to leave Tripoli, a week after the militia killed 43 people during a march which asked the group to disband.

The Libyan Prime Minister Ali Zeidan told reporters that the evacuation of all militia has started even though it will take long due to the equipment they had.

Zeidan asked the citizens in Tripoli to end their strike that has lasted for one week and get back to their work.
