A military aircraft crashed in the Egyptian Nile Delta governorate of Daqahliya on Wednesday, causing no casualties, state-run Ahram online reported.

The plane crashed in a rural area near Sinbellawain city due to a technical failure during a training mission, military spokesman Colonel Ahmed Mohamed Ali wrote on his official Facebook page.

Ali added that the pilot was transferred to the hospital and his condition is stable.

A similar accident happened in October in Egypt when a military aircraft crashed during a training mission in the south due to mechanical failure.

On Wednesday, the trial of ousted Islamist president Mohamed Morsi was postponed due to bad weather. Morsi was due to be flown to a Cairo court, but bad weather prevented the helicopter to take off.
