The Australian Maritime Safety Authority (AMSA) has been informed of the objects sighted by Chinese aircraft and attempts will be made to relocate the objects, official twitter of AMSA said Monday.

"AMSA was advised about the reported objects sighted by a Chinese aircraft. The reported objects area within today's search area and attempts will be made to relocate them," AMSA's media officer Lisa told Xinhua.

The crew of a Chinese IL-76 plane spotted some suspicious objects in the southern Indian Ocean on Monday while searching for missing Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370 off Australia.

The crew has reported the coordinates -- 95.1113 degrees east longitude and 42.5453 south altitude -- to the Australian command center as well as Chinese icebreaker Xuelong, which is en route to the sea area.

A Xinhua correspondent aboard the IL-76 aircraft said the searchers saw two relatively big floating objects with many white smaller ones scattered within a radius of several kilometers.

The reporter added that as the two Chinese searching planes are heading back, the crew has asked the Australian side to send other planes to the area for further examination.

Australia's maritime search and rescue agency said earlier on Monday that they were expanding the area to be covered in the search for missing Malaysia Airlines flight MH370 in the southern Indian Ocean.
