The Time magazine's website recently released a group of pictures saying a Thai prison is offering reduced sentences, parole, and prize money to inmates who step into the ring and beat foreign fighters in organized matches.

The tournament called "Prison Fight" is a sport event which takes place in different prisons in Thailand which is backed by Thailand's Department of Corrections, as part of a big rehabilitation program of World Prison Fight Association (WPFA).

The ultimate aim of the event is to promote sport and good health among prisoners and help them with better social adaptation in the future, according to the event organizer's official website.

Though victory can bring inmates money and glory, the chance at freedom still takes into consideration factors like good behavior and time served.
