U.S. President Barack Obama on Monday met with the Federal Reserve Chair Janet Yellen, discussing the implementation of the financial regulatory reforms and growth outlook in the U.S. and the world, the White House said in a statement.
The meeting was part of an ongoing dialogue about the economy, financial reform, and other economic issues, it said.
According to the statement, they discussed the implementation of the Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act, which includes a set of financial regulatory reforms and consumer protections.
It is the first one-on-one meeting between the two since Yellen took office as chair of the U.S. central bank in February.
The statement did not disclose further information about the meeting.
