A white police officer of Ferguson Police Department will not be charged for fatally shooting an unarmed black teenager in August, authorities said on Monday.
A St. Louis County grand jury chose not to indict Ferguson policeman Darren Wilson in the Aug. 9 shooting death of Michael Brown, 18, St. Louis County Prosecutor Bob McCulloch said.
He added that witnesses were not consistent in reporting that Brown's hands were raised when he was shot.
