India on Tuesday test-fired its nuclear capable strategic missile Agni-4 from a test range off eastern state of Odisha's coast.

The surface-to-surface nuclear-tipped intermediate-range ballistic missile (IRBM) was test-fired by the Strategic Forces Command of the Indian Army, local media reported.

Integrated Test Range (ITR) sources were quoted as saying that the missile is one of its kinds of world class, proving many new technologies for the first time.

This is the second test of the missile this year. It was successfully tested from the same place on Jan. 20.
