Another three victims of the MH17 crash in eastern Ukraine have been identified, which results in a total of 292 identified victims, the Dutch Ministry of Security and Justice announced on Friday.

The MH17 Malaysia Airlines crashed on July 17 this year, killing 298 people. Still six people have now been unidentified. All identifications of the victims have been carried out in Hilversum by the National Forensic Investigation Team (LTFO) based on tooth status, fingerprints or DNA.

Information on the remaining six unidentified victims might be available on the body parts currently present in Hilversum, but according to the ministry it is also possible that the bodies and/or body parts of these missing persons are not recovered at the crash site.

Last Friday November 28 the last Dutch military transport aircraft arrived at Eindhoven Air Base from Kharkiv with victims of the flight disaster. The plane carried six coffins with human remains. That transport could be the last, at least for this year, with winter and snow coming up in eastern Ukraine and the recovery mission being finished for now.
