Foreign ministers of Russia, Ukraine, Germany and France on Friday stressed the need to hold another Contact Group meeting on Ukraine crisis, said Russian Foreign Ministry in a statement.

"The four sides continued to discuss the ways to promote the peaceful settlement of the situation in the southeastern Ukraine, including under the framework of the Minsk agreements. In this regard, they stressed the need for the early convening of the next meeting of the Contact Group," according to the online statement.

During Friday's teleconference, the ministers also discussed the schedule of further consultations on different levels within the framework of the Normandy dialogue, which was held in France in June.

Late on Monday, Kiev authorities and the anti-government forces held a meeting in Donetsk, eastern Ukraine, during which they agreed to sign a deal on a "full truce" in eastern regions in the coming days, according to the General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.

From mid-April to Dec. 12, at least 4,707 people were killed and 10,322 wounded by the fighting in Ukraine.
