Two Paris-bound flights were grounded Tuesday evening after receiving bomb threats, local media reported.

The two Air France flights received anonymous bomb threats via telephone after take-off and had to take "precautious measures" to land and do security check.

The Air France Flight 65 departed from Los Angeles International Airport at about 3:45 p.m. local time (2345 GMT) and landed safely in Salt Lake City. There were 473 passengers on board.

The Air France Flight 55 departed from Washington, D.C. at about 6:40 p.m. (2340 GMT) and landed in Halifax, Nova Scotia in Canada. It had 234 passengers on board.

Both flights were bound for Paris Wednesday morning after security check, the Air France said.
