The opening ceremony of two-week long joint training exercise YOUYI 5 between Special forces of China and Pakistan was held yesterday in Qingtongxia, China's Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region.

The ceremony was attended by senior military officers of special forces of Pakistan and China's People Liberation Army(PLA). National anthem of both the countries were played on the occasion.

The joint exercise as part of China-Pak Friendly Exchange Year 2015 focuses on anti terrorist operation, hostage and rescue and cordon and search operation. The joint exercise will enhance and further strengthen already deep military ties between Pakistan and China.

The YOUI 5 is being carried out in extreme weather conditions of northern China to impart and share Pakistan army's experiences in war against terrorism.
