Armenian ex-president elected as PM

The National Assembly of Armenia elected Tuesday ruling Republican Party head and ex-President Serzh Sargsyan as the country's new prime minister.

According to the parliament, 77 lawmakers voted for the candidate and 17 against.

Sargsyan has previously been president of the country for a decade.
