Former U.S. President Donald Trump testified on Thursday in a New York courtroom in a defamation court case brought by the writer E. Jean Carroll, who alleges he sexually assaulted her in a dressing room in the 1990s.

Trump's appearance in the New York courtroom came after he won the Republican primary in New Hampshire. His testimony in the case ended minutes after it began with him standing by his earlier testimony that Carroll's claim that he raped her was a hoax, local media reported.
