JAKARTA, May 2 (Xinhua) -- The number of foreign tourists visiting Indonesia rose by 7.83 percent year-on-year to 2.74 million in the first quarter of 2025, according to the Central Statistics Agency on Friday.
In a press release, the agency stated that most international travelers arrived by air between January and March, followed by sea and land transport.
However, in March alone, foreign tourist arrivals through major entry points declined by 2.18 percent compared to the same period last year, totaling 841,030 visitors.
The Indonesian Ministry of Tourism has set a target of 14 to 16 million foreign tourist arrivals for the year. Enditem
