KABUL -- At least two people have been killed and three others injured after flash floods caused by heavy rains in northern Afghanistan's Badakhshan province, a local official reported Sunday.
Heavy rainfall triggered flash floods on the outskirts of the province's Jorm district. Provincial director for the disaster management authority Mawlawi Mohammad Akram Akbari has confirmed that two local residents have died and three others were injured following the floods. SYDNEY -- Two people were killed and two others were fighting for their lives following a vehicle crash on Sunday in Australia's southeastern state of Victoria.

JERUSALEM -- An officer and a soldier were killed and four others injured in two separate incidents in the Gaza Strip, the Israeli military said Sunday.

ZAGREB -- Two people were killed and 31 injured in a serious accident in the early morning, Croatian Minister of Health Irena Hrstic confirmed at a press conference on Sunday.
