SEOUL, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Price for goods and services among South Korean suppliers fell last month due to lower price for farm goods and oil products, central bank data showed Friday.
The producer price index (PPI) shrank 0.1 percent in April from a month earlier after remaining unchanged for the past two months, according to the Bank of Korea.
Producer price for industrial products, including oil products, retreated 0.3 percent in April on a monthly basis.
Price for coal and oil products dipped 2.6 percent, but price for food and beverages added 0.2 percent.
Price for agricultural, livestock and fishery products among suppliers declined 1.5 percent last month on lower price for agricultural products that offset an increase in livestock products.
Price for electricity, natural gas and tap water gained 0.4 percent in April from a month earlier.
Service price rose 0.2 percent owing to higher cost for the transport and the eatery and lodging service, which offset lower expense for the finance and insurance service. Enditem
