TOKYO, May 24 (Xinhua) -- A fire that broke out at a factory near Tokyo's Haneda Airport was almost completely put out Saturday morning after causing delays to some flights, local media reported.

The fire department received an emergency call at around 5 p.m. local time Friday about the blaze on a conveyor belt in the industrial waste-related facility, Kyodo News reported.

The fire burned the second through fourth floors of the four-story building, which is located in an industrial area about 2 kilometers north of Japan's busiest airport, the report said.

Authorities said over 100 fire trucks were dispatched and a firefighter had suffered smoke inhalation, but his life was not in danger. Enditem
