Nepal expects 4.61-pct growth for 2024-25

KATHMANDU, May 29 (Xinhua) -- The Nepali government on Thursday projected a 4.61-percent growth for the current 2024-25 fiscal year.

Presenting the economic survey in the House of Representatives, Finance Minister Bishnu Prasad Paudel said the service sector is expected to contribute 62.01 percent to the gross domestic product (GDP), followed by agriculture at 25.16 percent and industry at 12.83 percent.

The average consumer inflation is expected to stand at 4.72 percent, said the official, adding that the per capita income of Nepalis has increased to 1,517 U.S. dollars. Enditem
