KABUL -- Authorities have completed construction of a water catchment dam in southern Afghanistan's Kandahar province to help overcome water shortage, reported the state-run Bakhtar news agency on Sunday.

JAKARTA -- The death toll of landslides at a quarry on Friday in Indonesia's West Java province increased to 19 on Sunday, but further landslides forced a suspension of the search for 6 missing victims, officials said.
