LONDON, June 23 (Xinhua) -- The British Foreign Office updated its travel advice for Qatar on Monday, urging British nationals in the country to shelter in place until further notice.
The latest advisory comes amid a series of warnings to British nationals in other parts of the Middle East, including Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, and Saudi Arabia, after the United States made a strike in Iran over the weekend.
The Foreign Office said the update aligns with similar guidance issued by U.S. authorities.
Speaking in Parliament on Monday, British Foreign Secretary David Lammy confirmed that a British air force flight had evacuated British citizens from Israel to Cyprus. He also said one British national had been injured in Israel. Enditem
