VIENTIANE, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Laos marked International Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Day under the theme "Results of the Implementation of Work to Promote Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises 2021-2025," highlighting ongoing efforts to support MSMEs in the country.
The event, held in Lao capital Vientiane on Friday, was chaired by Lao Deputy Minister of Industry and Commerce Chanthaboun Soukaloun and attended by around 150 guests, including government officials, business leaders, and development partners.
The event aimed to raise public awareness of the government's efforts in promoting MSMEs, highlight key achievements from the 2021-2025 MSME Development Plan, and encourage wider participation in entrepreneurship.
Activities included an exhibition showcasing MSME initiatives and discussions between the public and private sectors to share successes, challenges, and opportunities from the past five years.
