U.S. oil imports up, exports down last week

HOUSTON, July 2 (Xinhua) -- U.S. crude oil imports increased while exports decreased during the week ending June 27, the U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) said in a report released on Wednesday.

U.S. crude oil imports averaged 6.919 million barrels per day (bpd) last week, up by 976,000 bpd from the previous week, while crude oil exports averaged 2.305 million bpd, down by 1.965 million bpd from the previous week, according to the Weekly Petroleum Status Report.

Over the past four weeks, crude oil imports averaged about 6.136 million bpd, down by 13.9 percent from the same four-week period last year.

During the same period, crude oil exports averaged about 3.556 million bpd, down by 10.6 percent from the same four-week period last year, according to the report.
