BAGHDAD, July 17 (Xinhua) -- Three explosive-laden drones attacked on Thursday the semi-autonomous region of Kurdistan in northern Iraq, local authorities said.
The first attack occurred at 1:27 a.m. Thursday local time (2227 GMT Wednesday), when an explosive-laden drone crashed in the Bahirka area near Erbil, the capital city of the Kurdistan region, the regional Directorate General of Counter Terrorism said in a statement.
The second explosive-laden drone crashed near Shamamk subdistrict in Erbil province at 10:50 a.m. local time (0750 GMT) while a third drone hit an oil field operated by the Norwegian DNO oil company in the Tawke area within the Zakho Independent Administration, read the statement.

No casualties were reported following the three attacks, it noted.
The past few days witnessed an increasing number of drone attacks targeting oil fields run by foreign companies and other interests in the Kurdistan region. No group has been identified for these attacks yet. Enditem
