KABUL -- At least 25 passengers lost their lives and 27 others sustained injuries when a bus overturned in the west of the Afghan capital Kabul, on Wednesday morning, an official from the Ministry of Interior Affairs reported.

The incident occurred in the Arghandi area, along the highway linking southern Kandahar to Kabul, and was caused by reckless driving, Abdul Mateen Qani, spokesman for the ministry, told Xinhua. (Afghanistan-Road Accident)

ISLAMABAD -- The United Nations (UN) has allocated 600,000 U.S. dollars to support Pakistan's response to the devastating 2025 monsoon season, according to a UN spokesperson.

Speaking at a press briefing in New York, UN spokesperson Stephane Dujarric said that according to local authorities, heavy rains and flash floods over the past 10 days have killed at least 400 people and left more than 190 injured across Pakistan.
