THE HAGUE, Sept. 4 (Xinhua) -- The Netherlands on Thursday established a new Joint Force Command (JFC) headquarters to coordinate all military operations, the Defense Ministry said.
The JFC, staffed by more than 300 military and civilian personnel, will operate around the clock and serve as the central command hub for Dutch armed forces missions, the ministry said.
The new command will translate strategic decisions into operational planning, oversee joint missions and integrate land, sea, air, cyber and space operations.
It will also expand cooperation with civilian agencies and other ministries, and improve intelligence sharing across the armed forces.
By creating a real-time common operational picture, the JFC aims to enhance the Netherlands' ability to conduct "multi-domain" operations, such as missions involving warships, combat units, aircraft, satellites, military police and cyber capabilities working in concert, the ministry said. Enditem
