U.S. dollar little changed

NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (Xinhua) -- The U.S. dollar was almost flat in late trading on Wednesday.

The dollar index, which measures the greenback against six major peers, decreased 0.01 percent to 97.780 at 3 p.m. (1900 GMT).

In late New York trading, the euro fell to 1.1705 dollars from 1.1706 dollars in the previous session, and the British pound climbed to 1.3536 dollars from 1.3523 dollars in the previous session.

The U.S. dollar bought 147.33 Japanese yen, lower than 147.40 Japanese yen in the previous session. The U.S. dollar rose to 0.7989 Swiss francs from 0.7977 Swiss francs, and it was up to 1.3861 Canadian dollars from 1.3847 Canadian dollars. The U.S. dollar fell to 9.3521 Swedish kronor from 9.3823 Swedish kronor. Enditem
