Pakistani security forces kill 5 terrorists in Balochistan province

ISLAMABAD, Sept. 17 (Xinhua) -- Pakistani security forces killed five terrorists during an intelligence-based operation in the country's southwest Balochistan province, the military said Wednesday.

The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the media wing of the Pakistani military, said in a statement that the operation was carried out in Khuzdar district on Sunday night after reports about the presence of militants.

The terrorists were killed in an intense exchange of fire, while weapons, ammunition and explosives were recovered from their hideout, the ISPR added.

According to ISPR, the militants were involved in multiple terrorist activities in the area. Enditem
