JAKARTA, Sept. 18 (Xinhua) -- Senior Deputy Governor of Bank Indonesia Destry Damayanti said Indonesia's local currency transactions (LCT) with partner countries have grown significantly, reaching 16.4 billion U.S. dollars in the first eight months of this year, local media reported on Thursday.
The figure represents an increase of 6.4 billion U.S. dollars compared to the same period last year, when the total annual LCT stood at 12.5 billion U.S. dollars.
"The LCT data for January to August this year has already reached 16.4 billion U.S. dollars, exceeding the full-year figure of 12.5 billion U.S. dollars in 2024," Damayanti said.
Currently, Indonesia has established LCT cooperation with eight partner countries. Enditem
