Russia integrates AI modules into educational programs: educational ministry

MOSCOW, Sept. 27 (Xinhua) -- Russia's education ministry announced the integration of special artificial intelligence-focused modules into all educational programs.

"We have added dedicated AI modules to all student training programs, regardless of future professions. It doesn't matter if you're going to be a biologist, lawyer, physicist, chemist, or journalist," Science and Higher Education Minister Valery Falkov said during an educational forum on Saturday marking the 80th anniversary of Russia's atomic industry.

He added that future specialists must understand how to apply AI in their professional practice, noting that the rise of AI demands a complete restructuring of educational processes and teaching technologies.

Falkov added that his ministry has set a goal to train no fewer than 15,000 specialists to develop AI technology through a range of programs, "typically those tied to advanced mathematical knowledge." Enditem
