ISLAMABAD -- A security personnel was killed in a terrorist attack on a polio vaccination team in Pakistan's northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province, police said Tuesday.

According to a police statement, the slain personnel was guarding two female polio workers in the Matta area of Swat District when unidentified gunmen opened fire, killing him on the spot. The polio workers were unharmed. (Pakistan-Polio-Attack)

NEW DELHI -- India's postal department on Tuesday announced the resumption of all postal services to the United States from Oct. 15.

KABUL -- Afghan security forces have arrested 202 individuals along the border with Iran over attempting to illegally sneak into the neighboring country, said a statement of the national army in the western region on Tuesday.
