GAZA/WASHINGTON -- Hamas on Sunday rejected a statement from the U.S. Department of State that the Palestinian militant group would launch an attack against Palestinian civilians.
The U.S. State Department said Saturday that it had received "credible reports" suggesting that Hamas is planning an imminent attack against Palestinian civilians.

GAZA -- Israel handed over 15 bodies of Palestinians to Gaza on Sunday through the International Committee of the Red Cross, bringing the total number of bodies returned to 150, according to the Gaza-based health authorities.

PARIS -- The Louvre Museum in Paris was closed to the public on Sunday "for exceptional reasons" following a robbery in which several items of great historical value were stolen, French authorities said. No injuries were reported.

TOKYO -- The Japan Innovation Party on Sunday agreed to grant its party leaders full authority to decide on entering a coalition government with the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, local media reported.
The party will hold an emergency executive session on Monday to formally finalize its stance, Kyodo News reported.
