KABUL, Nov. 22 (Xinhua) -- Afghan authorities have launched a three-day saffron exhibition in western Herat province, aiming to promote market expansion for the local product, local media Tolo News reported on Saturday.
The event was held during the saffron harvest season, a crucial period for farmers across Herat, a province widely recognized as Afghanistan's saffron hub. Local farmers and producers displayed a diverse range of saffron products at 70 booths, including raw saffron threads, processed goods, and other agricultural items, the report said.
The exhibition is designed to strengthen market connections, support local producers, and highlight the economic potential of Afghanistan's saffron industry. Enditem
