Five people burned to death in car crash in Lisbon

LISBON, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Five people died after a car crashed and caught flames early Sunday on Avenida das Forcas Armadas in the north-central part of Lisbon, according to the Public Security Police (PSP).

Lusa News Agency quoted the Lisbon Metropolitan Command as saying that accident was reported at about 3:40 a.m. to the emergency services that a vehicle had gone off the road. The car "struck a pillar and caught fire," leaving all five occupants fatally burned.

Authorities said they were still unable to confirm the victims' genders or ages. No more details are available so far. Enditem
